More Leucangium carthusianum, in their natural habitat: Rain-
soaked Douglas-fir forests. Leucangium likes the same kind of
stand as Oregon white truffles (Tuber oregonense) but usually is
found deeper in the soil, from 4 to 10 inches under the surface.
